A lip reader has reportedly revealed the details of the conversation between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool’s majority shareholder, John Henry, at full time during title celebrations at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to secure the club’s 20th top-flight championship, sparking unforgettable scenes at the full-time whistle.
Liverpool’s majority shareholder, John Henry, and his wife, Linda Pizzuti, were in attendance on the historic evening.
After the game, they joined the Liverpool staff and players on the Anfield pitch to celebrate the win.
Amid the celebration, the American businessman was also spotted talking with Alexander-Arnold.
With the defender’s future still not decided amid strong interest from Real Madrid, fans were left wondering whether the conversation between the pair had anything to do with the player’s future.
Well, an expert lip reader thinks so.
According to investigative and forensic lip reader Nicola Hickling, who spoke to OLBG (via Sports Mail), Henry and the Liverpool vice-captain were indeed discussing the player’s future.
Hickling claims that Henry opened the conversation by saying: “You’ve been quiet.
How did you get on?”
To which the England international nodded in response before uttering: “Being sensible”.
Henry then raised up his hand and seemingly said, “I want you to do the right thing.”
Alexander-Arnold then said: “Yeah, yeah,” to which Henry then replied: “Best way and don’t panic,” in a bid to reassure the defender.
Alexander-Arnold then said, “Should I decide?”
Henry’s next response, according to Hickling, is to nod slowly before saying: “Absolutely”.
The American businessman then turned to the fans told Alexander-Arnold: “Let them know.”
Alexander-Arnold then, seemingly, nodded in agreement with the 75-year-old.
